Setting up wordpress account without securing domain

  Hi we are currently in the midst of creating a new website through wordpress, and it asks for a domain. eventually we are going to move our domain (slsvcoalition.org) from strikingly to the new and improved website on wordpress. Can I move forward without having a domain set up?

  Yes, you can first create your site at WordPress.com using the WordPress.com free site domain and transfer or map your custom domain when your site is ready.
