setting up wordpress site with existing domain

  I’d like to set up a wordpress site and use the domain name that I already have at GoDaddy. What will my domain name be if I don’t transfer it, but just map it? I want it to be mydomainname.com NOT mydomainname.wordpress.com This is my first wordpress site and I don’t know what to expect. Thanks.

  The address will be the same if you map or transfer the domain. So, if your domain is mygroovysite.com, if you map it, this will be the address of your site. Here’s more information about mapping:
