How to secure my account if someone logged into my account?

    Hi there,

If I understood your question you have access to your account but you are suspect a non authorized login.

To avoid this you can enable Two-Step Authentication from your dashboard. Just log in and visit this link https://wordpress.com/me/security/two-step.

In order to avoid any account loss, you can enable the Account Recovery option. You can set your phone number and your email to verify your identity. This option can be found from this link https://wordpress.com/me/security/account-recovery.

    Hope that helps!

  • Hi there,

If you suspect someone else logged into your account, you can change your account password at https://wordpress.com/me/account/

You can also enable two-step authentication on your account as an extra layer of security:

    Enable Two-Step Authentication

Lastly I also recommend you change the password and enable two-step authentication on your email account as well, as the only way someone else could gain access to your WordPress.com account without knowing the password, is if they have access to your email account, which would let them reset the password.

That said, I don’t see any evidence of unauthorised access on the WordPress.com account you’re using to post here – this account is only a week old, and every action taken on this account so far was done from the same IP address, meaning the same computer, as the one on which this account was first created.

Can you tell me why you believe someone else logged into your account?
