Settings rarely display URL/Site addresses

I was trying to change my URL site adress, since i want to rebrand my page. However, when i go to settings on the dashboard, it (almost) never shows the editable field where i can change my site/URL address name. I don’t know why it suddenly appeared once, but i proceded to change the name, and now my site has crashed and i can’t undo anything because the settings menu doesn’t give me the possibility to do so. Anyone who know why and/or can help me get this fixed? I’m a wordpress noob, so i bet this is a small task…big one for me though

Hey there, it sounds like this site may be a WordPress.org installation with a different host. Here’s the difference: https://get.wp.com
If you own that address, can you log into your registrar and update its DNS settings? You’ll want to point to your host. Your host will also need to be aware that you’re pointing the domain there — typically by “parking” the domain.
Then, ask for help changing the address properly:
