Settings > Social Links > Meta’s “Threads” app option?

  Hello, I wanted to inquire if WordPress.com is planning on adding Meta’s new “Threads” social media site to the list of available links within the “Settings > Social Links” section (like Twitter, Facebook, etc. links are currently)?

  Since this is a newer social media channel backed by Facebook/Instagram/Meta, it probably isn’t going away anytime soon. Could we get this added as a default option?

  I’m realizing now that the “Social Links” section under settings is driven by a plug-in I have. But, the question can still stand if WordPress will be adding a standard icon available under the “Social Icons” block.

  The Threads service is very new so it looks like the WordPress contributors haven’t yet had a chance to get an icon for it added; but I suspect they’ll be adding one in the near future as it’s been pretty popular already.
