Setup 301 Redirect without upgrading account to Business Plan?

  Hi – I am moving my food blog off the free wordpress platform to my own domain+hosting. I am trying to download a plugin to setup a 301 redirect and it seems I cannot download any plugins unless I upgrade my wordpress account. It seems silly to upgrade and pay for an account on a website I am phasing out…Is there any way to download a plugin without upgrading? or setup a redirect without upgrading?

  There is no way roudn, but you’ll need to buy the Site Redirect Upgrade, https://wordpress.com/support/site-redirect/
