    Already have a website with a domain up and running elswhere – just started a WordPress account – is there a way to start building this new website ‘off-site’ for now, so that when we are ready, we can transfer our current domain name to the WordPress servers?

    Hi hvacrwebmaster, absolutely. You’re welcome to create your new site with us before pointing the domain here. That way your current site can stay “live” until your new one is ready.

    I do recommend getting a plan earlier on if you’ll need it, since they have other features you might find useful, including direct support:

    Then just avoid using the domain options until you’re ready (choose a free address instead) and then you can map the domain when you’re ready.
