Several “Comment” Issues

  Several problems regarding comments:

  The comment window does not show on any of the pages/posts.
  On “Dianne’s Blog,” it says comments off. Can’t figure out how to turn it on (“all comments” is checked/enabled in dashboard).

  In settings>discussion, the following are checked/enabled:

  Attempt to notify any blogs linked to from the article (slows down posting.)
  Allow link notifications from other blogs (pingbacks and trackbacks.)
  Allow people to post comments on new articles (These settings may be overridden for individual articles.)
  Comment author must fill out name and e-mail
  Users must be registered and logged in to comment
  Automatically close comments on articles older than 14 days
  Enable threaded (nested) comments 4 levels deep
  E-mail me whenever Anyone posts a comment
  A comment is held for moderation
  Before a comment appears an administrator must always approve the comment
  Enable sending comment replies via email
  Show a ‘subscribe to comments” option in the comment form

  Your problem is, you’ve automatically closed comments on older posts. While this can reduce spam, you don’t have any NEW posts, so nobody can comment anywhere.
