Several Issues
-
Hi! My name is Anton I have several issues that need to be fixed.
The most important is:
1. I uploaded gallery to my site. I can see photos, but when I double-tap on them they aren’t opening. I can see only black screen without loading circle. This black screen can not be even closed. I need them to open properly.2. When I am on my site on wordpress.com I have two options : ‘Edit’ and ‘Edit site’.
When I choose ‘Edit’ I can only see ‘Home Page’. That Home Page can be seen only by me and it differs very much from that page that visitors can see.
When I choose ‘Edit site’ I can see that page that everyone can see and i have some options to edit.
Questions are : What is the difference between these two options? Why do I see two different pages?
3. In ‘Edit site’ I can change background colour as i want, so I changed it from yellow to black.
The problem is that this change doesn’t show up on my site, so nobody can see it.
Is this paid option? If it’s not, how can you help me to solve this?WP.com: Yes
Jetpack: No
Correct account: YesThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi @antonsaienok , it sounds like a few of these issues are stemming from confusion between the site editor (which you’ll use to edit templates) and the content editor. I suspect that resolving that could fix the first issue.
- I’d recommend creating a page here: https://wordpress.com/page — you might go ahead and use the default template. View the page and confirm whether the gallery works. If it does not, please update us here.
- Next, go to your Site Editor. Your Header and Footer Only template should just have a header, a footer, and a space for content. It looks like you’ve somehow removed the space for content, and replaced it with the gallery. You can choose to either “start over” with this template by reverting your changes, or add your Post Content Block back in using these steps:
The Post Content block will display the entire content of each published post or page. It is used as part of a Template and designed to automatically pull the content you create on a page or post into your site page. Add the Post Content BlockAdd Content to the BlockBlock ToolbarBlock SettingsLayout Add the Post Content Block The Post Content block is part of the Site Editor. The SiteSave the changes and I’ll bet that’ll fix the gallery issues, but if not, it should fix other issues you’re likely to encounter with that setup. Either way, please update us here so we can confirm.
Regarding background colors and whatnot, to change global styles on the site, you would need the Premium plan. But you can still change colors more manually in some places, too. Let’s resolve the first few issues, then we can swing back to this one. Thanks!
