Severe problems with image upload

Sorry for inconvenient english…;-)
For the last couple of days, I have enormous problems loading images into my blog (I am working on macs snowleopard). No matter what browser I use (Safari or Firefox), no matter what method I use (flash uploader or normal), no matter what image, even previous working images cause the problem – the browser get stucked and I must end it brutally, I had even a one time kernel panic. I cleared the cache, I repaired the rights, I reinstalled flash, I deinstalled google gear plugin… I don’t know what to do any more… any advice?

I’m recommending patience as there are millions of wordpress.com bloggers and I’m sure that if you have filed a support ticket then your problem will receive Staff attention as soon as possible. Perhaps a Volunteer will come up with a bright idea that will help in the meanwhile and perhaps not.
