Shaded background area for comments

Hi – I’d like to add a “shaded background color” to MY comments as a way to differentiate MY comments from reader comments. Can you tell me how to set this up? Can I choose the background color? Thanks so much, Susu

You are racking up threads on the support forum despite the fact that the blog linked to your username is devoid of blogger created content and in another thread you asked for instructions to delete it. Please slow down and post the URL starting with http:// for the exact blog you are posting these threads about. That’s required because we provide support only for free hosted WordPress.com blog here. I have a lot of questions and chose to send them all out individually since you all asked me to do that in the past (I guess it helps others to search by a single topic in the forum). I do have an active blog that I’m creating called “timetocookblog” which you should support (I wish to delete “itstimetocook” since I’m not using that one).

Thanks so much for posting that blog URL. It confirms that you do have a free hosted WordPress.COM blog. You see, I didn’t want you to waste your time and get wrong answers if it turned out that you were referring to a WordPress.ORG install.
To link your username to http://timetocookblog.com/ is easy to do. Here’s how to link your username to your blog in your blog Dashboard -> Users -> Personal Settings -> then scroll down to Account Details. Then scroll down to where it says ‘Primary Blog‘ select the URL for your primary wordpress.com blog and then save changes.
Then every time you sign into the forum we can all click on your username and your blog will be linked to it. And every time you leave a comment on a blog your username can be likewise clicked and your blog can be instantly located.

Shaded background area for comments
A few themes are designed to display a colored background on Admin comment responses but most themes are not so designed. If the theme you are using, which is unknown to us as the blog is private, is not designed to do that then you will require an annually renewable custom design upgrade so your can do the required CSS editing.
