Share buttons not showing and problem with connecting to Twitter!
-
Hi! I have enabled the sharing options that I’d like to show up at the bottom of my blog – Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter etc, but they are not showing up. I have saved changes etc but at the bottom of all my posts it is only showing ‘Leave a comment’. The visibility setting on my posts is Public.
Also, I’ve set up the Publicize thing so it should tweet from my twitter account when I post a new article, but it doesn’t.
I’d really appreciate some help!
Thanks a lot in advance :)
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Click the title of any post and scroll to the bottom of it to locate the sharing icons which are used after we read the full post http://butterpearblog.wordpress.com/2014/05/19/baked-peaches-with-olive-fig-almond-jam/

Also, I’ve set up the Publicize thing so it should tweet from my twitter account when I post a new article, but it doesn’t.
Please see here for troubleshooting tips http://en.support.wordpress.com/publicize/#common-reasons-why-a-post-failed-to-publicize
See here for how to disconnect and reconnect. http://en.support.wordpress.com/publicize/#reconnecting-services -
If you want the sharing buttons to show on the main blog page the way they do on my blog, you have to allow the buttons on what they call “index” pages as well. Change that on the Sharing page of the dashboard.

I got the sharing buttons working soon after I posted but couldn’t work out how to get back here to update haha! :) Thanks anyway.
Will look at those publicise links now, thank so much!!

That’s weird because the comments are open on that post. You are logged in an this shouldn’t be happening to you at all. I’ll tag this thread for a Staff follow-up. Please subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond and please be patient while waiting.

You’re welcome. Now I’m freaked out by two facts.
- My May blog traffic is way down. It’s as though someone plugged a pipe or something.
- Perhaps I have other followers like you who cannot post comments.
:(

Well, that was the first thing that came on my mind also…
Since it didn’t work the first time, I’ve hit the little (w) icon, then the system told me something like “I was not allowed to post that comment” (I don’t remember what it was said exactly but that’s the meaning)
Do you want me to try again, without being logged in for instance?
Cause I didn’t try that way (with my email address and so on) -
Hang in there. There is a thread here that you can post into https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/sorry-this-comment-could-not-be-posted-error-1?replies=24

what do you want me to post? You know my english is a little poor to explain things well… could you help me please? :)

I think you ought to post into https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/sorry-this-comment-could-not-be-posted-error-1?replies=24
You can say:
Under this username account I find that I am unable to comment on this post http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2014/03/20/mixcloud-update/ although the comments are open. So timethief told me to post into this thread. -
TT, I’ll try the last trick writerwannabe has given first, and if that doesn’t work, then I’ll post the comment you gave me above, ok?. Thanks for your help :)

I even don’t see the admin bar when I visit your site, so I can’t do that thing writerwannabe suggested ^^ javascript is full enabled (completely free, that’s weird too! I never needed to do this before)
By the way, on other sites, I see the admin bar… (on butterpear’s blog, for instance, no prob) -
