Share buttons not showing up

  Newbie here, I have gone through and read other posts about this, but none of those solutions seem to be working. I do indeed have the sharing settings set to front page, comments, etc. I have checked every box, yet still nothing. I’m somewhat suspicious of a “buddypress” plug in I installed, thinking that’s preventing the buttons, but have no real basis for thinking that.
