"Share on Facebook" button available on all the posts at the Home Page

  Hello, first of all excuse if my English is not good enough.

  I have a question, maybe a suggestion if this feature is not supported. I’d like the facebook button to be shown every post at the home page. If you click on a post the facebook button appears, near the end of the entry, but if you are on the home page viewing the latest posts there is no facebook button. I think this is important because much visitors don’t click on the posts to see more details, because there’s already the full pots on the home page, so they’ll never see the facebook button.
  If this option is already available and the problem is that I have not activated it please excuse me, just tell me how to configure it. If it’s not available I think it could be a great feature to improve the traffic to our blogs.

  Hi there,

  Just wanted to confirm that you didn’t miss anything–the share buttons are only available on the actual post page.

  I believe their are technical reasons for why your suggestion would be difficult to implement, but I’m afraid I don’t know enough about the code to explain it in a helpful way.

  That having been said, you’d like to make sure the staff at Automattic see your suggestion, you can post it in the ideas forum. They don’t always respond to posts there, but my understanding is each one gets reviewed:

  Thanks Liz for the quick feedback! I was trying to contact the support team and I ended here, in the forum. It seems like there’s no way to contact them directly so I will post at the “ideas forum” as you told.

  As for how to contact staff support, the community forums are usually the fastest way to get help, but you can get in touch with staff in a couple of different ways, depending on your account setup. They are all outlined here:

  If you don’t have a paid account and you need staff support, there are Happiness Engineers who work the forums. Our “bat signal” for staff assistance is to use the tag “modlook” in the right column. The usual process is for volunteers to assist first and then tag the threads that require staff. Users are also able to tag their own threads.

  That having been said, keep in mind that volunteers can answer most questions and are usually able to help you more quickly than staff.
