share statistics don't match, detail possible?
-
If I go to a recent blog post, for example, “Something Would Be Missing” from 10/14/13, the FB shares at the end of the blog post says ’16’ shares. Yet if I go to statistics, shares, expand the ’46’ total number to look at shares per post, it says there was only 1 share, and clicking further reveals it was a FB share. Why does the blog post say ’16,’ but statistics says ‘1’?
Also, I cannot seem to find a way to see WHO shared my blog post on FB. Is this information available admin somewhere?
Thanks.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
When someone clicks on the sharing button to share your post to Facebook, we’re able to count that in your sharing stats. However, if someone shares the post in another way (like manually pasting the link into a status update on Facebook) we don’t have a way of capturing that share in your stats. The button itself, however, gets the sharing count directly from Facebook — so it may show more shares than we can count in your stats.

We don’t have a way to track who shares the post, only that someone used the button to share it. Any other information about the sharing depends on what Facebook makes available to you.
You can learn more about how your sharing stats work here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/sharing/#share-stats
Let me know if you have any other questions about that. :)
