Share via Twitter shows wrong account

When a post is shared via twitter at my blog dapschronicles.wordpress,com it is pointed to a wrong account, which is no longer owned by me. I have tried to reconnect, remove the account, add, to no avail. The correct account should be dapsy_me. Please help!

Hi there.
Go to Settings ->Sharing in your dashboard. Towards the bottom of that page, look where it says Twitter username to include in tweets when people share using the Twitter button. Make sure that it’s changed there as well (remember to save changes).
If you have already done that and the sharing button still shows the wrong name, let us know.

Yes that is checked and updated with correct twitter username still showing the old account.

Did you try disconnecting the app, clearing your browser cache and then reconnecting it again?

Yes did all that @timethief and still no go, actually it looks like a glitch because even if I disable the twitter username, and check on sharing via twitter, the old account is there.

Sometimes when you change your Twitter username it doesn’t take on the sharing buttons. I’ve tagged this thread for staff attention. They are usually able to fix it. Please make sure you are subscribed so you’re notified when they respond and be patient while waiting.

Sorry about that. This happens a lot when you change the sharing Twitter handle. But I can fix it up for you if you’d let me know the old and new Twitter handles.
