  Good day. I am helping my church with a new website. I have never started a new website from scratch. I’ve only worked on live WordPress sites in the past. Is there a way that I can share the site with them to review without making the site live? Thank you.

  Thanks for reaching out!

  I’d recommend making the site public, so that it can be visible to see, but I’d also recommend activating the discourage search engines setting as seen here: https://wordpress.com/support/settings/privacy-settings/#find-the-privacy-settings this means that only those with a link would be able to see the site.

  Out of curiosity, when the site is launched, are you looking to host the site under a custom domain? The reason why I ask is because this can improve how the site appears in search results when searched for.

  A paid plan would be needed for the domain, and so if you’re willing to me more about the project, I can guide you to which plan would be needed in order to make the site function as you intend.
