  Something is wrong with programming SHARES. Tried to correct. Someone is directing to another site!! Please correct.

  Specifically, what is happening and exactly where is it happening?

  I didn’t enter the URLs someone at wordpress did. It’s in the coding with a login to another completely different website. Very dangerous. Im not a programmer.

  When we set up sharing we do provide our URLs on the social networks we want to appear in the sharing icons. https://en.support.wordpress.com/sharing/

  Thank you for responding. Its Facebook, Twitter, Google+.

  This started when I tried to add a calendar to my post. I got a message -you cannot make posts to wordpress9558.wordpress.com – cheaten eh. I went to Help here and explained, adding, “That’s messed up.” Went back to my post a few hours later, got in as admin, but when I tested share to Facebook I was redirected to a login page at a website where I also blog, and my user name and password were pre-entered. So, I went back and inspected the page (HTML) for my post at wordpress and the URLs for SHARE were entered as …simplesite…com. Strange – so I deleted those 3 URLs from the code. Its fixed now, I just have to customize wordpress share buttons…Too sleepy now, its 4:45 a.m here. Sorry so lengthy. Again, thank you.

  @mitchelllinda45 — odd. Usually we only see the “cheaten, eh?” message if you’re customizing your URLs in the source, so it’s curious that it worked this time for you.

  Typically here’s the process you would follow:

  – Log into the correct WordPress.com account

  – Log into Facebook, etc, in other tabs

  – Head over to https://wordpress.com/sharing and connect the sites as you’d like.

  Are you all set for now though?
