Sharing a Facebook Video
-
Hi, I was hoping to add / share a video I’ve seen on Facebook to my blog. When I cut and past the address from the FB page, I end up with a link to that site. I would much prefer the video come up directly in my post. Is that possible? Here’s a link to that page and the video. BTW, I do intend to include a link to the page and give full credit to the source, but I just hate bouncing people around to see content.
Thanks

Hi,
This is the link you need to paste instead:
https://www.facebook.com/DesmondTutuOfficial/posts/507858202691517or use this shortcode:
[facebook url="https://www.facebook.com/DesmondTutuOfficial/posts/507858202691517"]Here are the instructions how I got that link:

Hi, Thank you for taking the time to respond. In both of the options you provided (the links) I end up with a link appearing on my post that takes the reader to the FB page where you can of course click on the video and watch it. I was hoping to just have the video appear on my post without having to take readers through that extra step. When I use links from YouTube for instance, it allows me to have direct access to the videos without having to take me to the YouTube page. Is that not possible in this instance?
Thanks

Hi,
I’m not sure if you can do it from Facebook like that but you can use this code instead which will embed the video on your blog from Vimeo:
http://vimeo.com/97467908I couldn’t find the same video on Youtube but you can do the same for Youtube if you know the link.
Let me know if that works.
