Sharing button label

In their Dashboards at Settings → Sharing users can drag certain services to a special box, which hides them under an additional button in the posts footer. The string in GlotPress says:
Services dragged here will be hidden behind a share button.
As you can see the string says something about a “share” button. On the other hand the button itself is labeled “More”. Wouldn’t it make more sense then to say:
Services dragged here will be hidden behind a more button.

Hi Martin! Thanks so much the suggestion. Technically, all of the buttons in that locations are “share” buttons. However I can see how the language can get confusing. I’ll pass along your idea to our team. Cheers!

I understand that it makes sense to technically define all the buttons in the sharing section as “share” buttons. But by my logic a “share” button is something that lets me actually share content with other services. Under this condition the “more” button to me is no “share” button and the above mentioned string should reflect that in some way.
When I validate a german string in Glotpress, I always check button labels and all sorts of things to make sure they correctly reflect the german translations in these places. Therefore I expected to find a “Teilen” button (german for “share”) and was surprised to only find a “Mehr” (more) button. After that I started to hunt down the mysterious “share” button as I thought it was missing but finally realized the false logic. The “more” button is the “share” button. D’oh ;)

I’d gladly add it to the ideas forum but as it is mainly connected to i18n/L10n/GlotPress and Jenia advised us back in May last year to posts these issues in the translations forum, I’m not sure if the ideas forum would be the right place for it. Cheers! :)
