Sharing buttons are not showing up on my homepage.

    Hi, I’ve been having this problem since I started with this blog. I have the settings marked to show sharing buttons for every post. Half the time they show up and half the time they don’t. They show up fine when you click the link to the actual post, but not on the home page under the preview.

    Here’s what I have marked in Settings under Sharing:

    Show buttons on:
    Front Page, Archive Pages, and Search Results
    Posts
    Pages
    Media
    WordPress.com Likes are
    On for all posts
    WordPress.com Reblog Button
    Show the Reblog button on posts
    Comment Likes are
    On for all comments

    Like I said, this works half the time. I’m thinking it’s a glitch. PLEASE fix it??

    The posts that have no share buttons on the home page are as follows:
    Russell Military Mueseum Field Trip 2014,
    Easter Egg Multiplication Tables,
    The Glorious 50 – United States Of America,
    Atoms and Molecules – A Kindergarten Perspective,
    Awesome Electricity and Simple Circuits,
    100th Day of School,
    Domo Arigato Mr. Roboto,
    Late Night Homeschooling with the Lake County Astronomical Society,
    and Bones Unit.

    The buttons that all posts should show are: Share this:
    Facebook
    Press This
    Pinterest
    Google
    Tumblr
    Email
    StumbleUpon

    Hello!

    1. Can you confirm that on your posts you have clicked on the sharing buttons for the posts in question?

    To enable the sharing on the posts scroll to the bottom to find the right module.

    2. Can you also confirm that you have enabled the sharing buttons by going to Dashboard–>Settings—>Appearance

    3. Does the problem resolve itself if you switch to a different browser such as chrome?

    1. yes, confirmed that they are set to share
    2. yes, confirmed that these are also set correctly
    3. I’m in chrome regularly, checked in explorer and it’s the same way.

    I think it is a browser issue.
    Try going through the next steps to see if anything changes.
    1. Try clearing your browser cache and/or cookies.

    Just a quick question before I follow the instructions you so kindly wrote out… can you see the share buttons for the second post on my home page or just the first? The first one is fine on my end, too. The second one (and others listed above) I can’t see on my phone or laptop in chrome or explorer. Thanks again!

    I’ve looked at your site through several browsers (Mozilla, Chrome, Safari, Google Canary) and the posts in question do lack the sharing icons. I’ve tagged this thread for a staff follow-up. Please be patient as staff works in the order in which they come.

    Hi there!

    Thank you for the report! I was able to reproduce this on my test blog. On first glance, it looks like it’s affecting posts with featured images on standard format posts. I have reported this to my team for further review. I will let you know once I hear back as soon as possible!
