Sharing function not working

    I am getting this message regarding Facebook and LinkedIn: “This connection may not be working correctly”. This message appears on my “settings” page for “sharing.” I have not changed my FB or LinkedIn accounts and I am logged in properly. Please advise. The last post I made was not shared.

    Can you remove and re-add the connections? For various reasons, the “token” that is maintained to let Facebook/LinkedIn/etc know that your particular WordPress.com site is authorized to post to your site can be invalidated. Facebook, for example, will invalidate all tokens when the password is changed to prevent someone from continuing to post to your account if you were hacked, then you changed your passwords to stop whoever from posting to your site.

    Once the connections have been removed and readded, they should work again as expected.

    The FB one seems to have resolved by itself; I did remove and re-add the LinkedIn connection, and that worked– thank you!

    This problem has not entirely resolved. The FB setting looks ok, but my blog post did not get posted on FB. The LinkedIn setting continues to say “there is a problem, please try again” even though I made sure I am logged in on LinkedIn. Please advise, thank you!

    Some other users have reported problems with LinkedIn that weren’t resolved with resetting it that we’re looking into. Resetting fixed most issues folks were having, so I was hopeful that would be all that was needed.

    For Facebook, could you reset the connection using the instructions at http://en.support.wordpress.com/publicize/#reconnecting-services, including removing the WordPress app from Facebook? The connection is testing as working as expected on our end, so I’d like to refresh it on Facebook’s end as well.
