Sharing icon numbers disappeared

  Hi there. I really need help regarding my blog shares numbers. All of them have disappeared. Both pages and posts. Is there anyway to recover them?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  It looks like you recently added a custom domain to your WordPress.com site. This will cause share numbers to reset I’m afraid. Facebook and the other social networks provide that data to us based on the shared URL. So since these shares are from your older _______.wordpress.com URL (rather than your new ______.com URL), when the URL of the page changes, Facebook think it hasn’t been shared.

  I’m afraid there isn’t anything we can do on our end about this. In theory, facebook could change it. But I suspect it is a security/fraud issue for them and I doubt that they would be inclined to.

  I just stumbled across another user with the same issue and it was rectified.. Please let me know if anything can be done, thank you again.

  I have the same problem, but I didn’t add custom domain or anything, they just disappear…

  I just stumbled across another user with the same issue and it was rectified..

  There are, from time to time, other FB issues that can cause this. However, in your case, it is the changing of the URL. And there is nothing that we can do to fix that as it is out of our hands.
