Sharing icons
-
I use Next Saturday theme. I changed some items on my pages. Now when I click on the Facebook share icon from the home page (Be Inspired), it shows the old info. This also happens on my “Watch Inspire Videos” page, though not the others.
I’ve rebooted, cleaned cookies, etc. Even tried from a different computer under a different user.
Thx for any help you can provide.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

It seems very odd to me that clicking on share icon would result in a different response on one page as opposed to another. Doesn’t it just activate a login page, or add a share if you’re already logged in? I had the same response on each page I tested, the two you mention and one other. In each case the Facebook login page popped up.

I can’t understand it either. The share box pops up with a preview of the post, which is the previous video I had on my home page, not the current. But when I click to share on Pinterest or Twitter, it shows the current video that is on my home page.

The problem is you are changing the info on the page rather than creating new pages. When you click the share button Facebook thinks it already “knows” what’s on the page so it doesn’t look again. Facebook provides a tool that updates the info in the Facebook cache just for situations like this. I’ve run the tool on the pages you were having trouble with so you should be all set. If you have trouble in the future, you can let us know or run the tool yourself.

Just put the url of the page you are having trouble with in the box at the top and click the “Fetch new scrape information” button.
