sharing link but edit button still showing

  I am doing a project for school and have to share a link in an online forum for pees to view and read. The site is public however, when I added my most recent blog post and went to share the link the ability to “write” and “edit” remains. Is there something I am needing to do now. I “published” the blog post however, I don’t want peers to have the ability to edit or change anything.

  Am I only seeing this as I am the creator of the site?

  The edit button for posts/pages will be visible to you if you are still logged in to your account. Visitors to your site won’t see an edit button.

  Hi Christine,

  To add to @themagicrobot’s reply above, if someone views your site while logged into a WordPress.com account they’ll still see a Write button in the top admin bar, but that will be for creating a new post on their own site, not yours.

  And if the visitor is not logged into WordPress.com at all, they’ll not see that button either.
