Sharing: me or you

  Hi,

  I’ve got the social media share buttons at the bottom of each post I make. Facebook has 0 next to the button on some posts and numbers next to other posts. But linkedin has 1 next to the button on all posts. Is that me? Whenever I make a post, it is shared automatically. I’m confused as facebook as 0 next to some posts yet automatically shared whenever I post.

  Hi Laura,
  When you say “automatically” to mean you use a program that automatically shares it, or do you yourself go back to your post and press the facebook sharing icon?
  I think the numbers only show up when someone (you included) actually press the social media sharing icon.

  When you go into your dashboard and your sharing settings, you can sign your profiles such as facebook to wordpress so when you write a post, you don’t have to physically post it to other websites, wordpress does it for you.

  It’s the numbers next to the sharing buttons at the bottom of each post, is that me or someone else. Facebook shows zero yet I publish posts to it but linkedin has 1, which I publish to. Confusing!

  I think Facebook actually register the number of ‘Likes’ to your post. Isn’t it?
