sharing my blog
-
I have set up a blog which i need to be private enough for it not to be able to be found when searched on google or anything. However, I would like to give a group of selected people the blog address for them to have a look. I cannot find a way of sharing this blog without people being required to sign in with my login details.

Hi, there.
Here’s information on how to invite people to view your private WordPress.com site.
https://en.support.wordpress.com/adding-users/#invite-people-to-view-your-private-blog
They will be asked to set up an account on WordPress.com if they don’t already have one, but will be able to view your site by logging in with *their* account, not your login details.
I hope this helps.

Alternately, instead of making the site “private” you could use the privacy setting to discourage search engines from indexing the site, as described here.
https://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/
In this case, anyone with the site’s address will be able to see it, without having to be invited or logged in as with a private site.
Be advised, though, that search engines will sometimes index sites and show them in search results even if they are set up this way, so if you absolutely must keep the site private, it’s best to mark is as such.
