  Hello-
  I have my blog connected to my Facebook account.
  When I post something, it shows the first X number of words on my status and also shows my ‘picture’ and it repeats with the Post title and the beginning of the first paragraph.

  Another words, it is duplicating the information on my post. I would like to switch so you only see one of these 2 options. I know in the past it didn’t look as it does now, but that was a while ago. Any thoughts?

  Hi there. What’s happening here is that Publicize sends an excerpt to Facebook along with the link. Facebook then uses that link to fetch its own excerpt. So, the issue is in the way Facebook works.

  The only way to prevent this is to not use Publicize to post to Facebook, but instead to post the link to Facebook manually. Facebook will still fetch its own preview, but you can then add your own description and/or delete the Facebook preview to avoid duplication. This is actually the best option as it will also ensure your post gets shown to more people on Facebook, as Facebook gives preference to manually posted content over auto-posted content.
