Sharing my WP posts on other SN
-
Hi
I have correctly customized a link to Twitter, Google+ and Facebook in the Sharing page of my blog, but WP is not publishing any post on those Social Networks. The WP sharing function was working good until 2 or 3 days ago, but has now stopped publishing.
Thank you and have a nice week-end!

Hi Kali,
I’m sorry that Publicize isn’t working correctly for you. Can you try reconnecting the social media services that aren’t working for you? We have instructions for how to do that here:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/publicize/#reconnecting-services
Please let me know how that goes! If you continue to have trouble with them, I can investigate this further. :)
-
Thank you for the link!
I followed the instructions and reconnected all services.
I will let you know if it works.
-
Excellent! Do let me know how it goes. If that didn’t fix the problem, I’m happy to investigate it for you. :)
-
Still not working… after reconnecting all services, I have published new posts on the blog, but they have not been published on Twitter, Facebook nor Google+, where the latest post is dated 11 December.
This issue is valid for 2 of my blogs:
glossarissimo.wordpress.com
nevevalanghe.wordpress.comThank you :)

Hi there,
Thanks for letting me know. Sorry this is continuing to be a problem for you! I reported this issue to our team, and they are looking into it. I’ll let you know as soon as I have more information from them.
Please let me know if you have any questions in the meantime. :)

Hi, I have a few followup questions for you:
- How do you create a new post on your blogs? (Do you go to Posts > Add New in your dashboard, the New Post page at WordPress.com, or something else entirely?)
- If you write the post by going to Posts > Add New in your dashboard, do you make any changes to the Publicize section in the Publish box before you publish the post?
- And have you made any changes to how you create or write your posts since before Publicize stopped working for you?
That information will help us investigate this issue. :) Thanks!

Hi and thank you for your efforts.
1. No, my posts are published through scoop.it (I don’t go to Posts > Add New in my dashboard)
2. No, because posts are published by scoop.it
3. No, everything was working fine until the 11th of December: I made a post in scoop.it, the post went to WP and from WP to all other social networks. -
You mean you are using an automated service to push posts to WordPress.com in the first place? I believe that’s the source of your problem; it’s actually against the terms of service here if I recall, and can get your blog suspended.

Hi, thank you for your reply.
Scoop.it is not an “automated service” (such as twitterfeed of hootsuite), but a “content curation” tool. This means that not all the posts of a given feed are published automatically without any control, but only the posts that I personally review and that are OK to publish.
I don’t see any violation of the WP terms of service in that.
Consider also that the connection to a WP blog is offered by scoop.it as a normal service.

Hi there,
Thanks for those details; that changes things a bit. I had our team look into it, and on our end there was no attempt to publicize the posts — in other words, it’s as if you deselected the publicize options before publishing the post. Since the posts are coming from scoop.it, that could be an issue with reposting from scoop.it (if scoop.it no longer supports our publicize feature).
Also, I went back and looked at the posts on your social media sites from before December 11, and it looks like not all of them were publicized from WordPress.com in the first place. For example, the posts on your Google+ page say they were shared via HootSuite. (You can click on “Shared Publicly” on the Google+ posts to see the sharing details.)
Your best bet is to manually post to your blog at WordPress.com. That way, you can make sure the Publicize options are selected before your post is published.
