sharing on facebook without an image

I’m trying to share my post on facebook but I don’t want any image to accompany my post. Do i have to put a picture in my post for FB to not use the thumbnail icon of my blog for every one of my posts?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hey 👋,

You can read through this link for information regarding Facebook thumbnails

    Facebook Image Thumbnail

If I read your question right in your second sentence, you can set a featured image to the specific post you are sharing and that will display on your Facebook feed instead of your website blog icon.

    Thank you,

  • Hi there,

If you share an image to Facebook, Facebook looks on your site for an image they can use. If there’s not one in the post itself, we have fallbacks that Facebook can use instead. There’s no way to change this.

If you don’t want an image to be used the only way is to share your post manually by pasting the link in Facebook directly, and then deleting the image from the preview before you post it.
