sharing on twitter

I shared my first post to my Twitter account @brooksandtennis, but when I clicked on the link in my tweet, it completely changed the theme when viewing it. Not sure how to fix this as I’ve tried several times. Thanks!

    Hi there,

This happens because Twitter shows the AMP version of shared links.

AMP is a framework Google introduced last year which creates an optimised version of your site, so that it loads as quickly as possible on mobile devices. This framework is activated by default on all WordPress.com sites.

You can disable it by going to My Site > Setting > Traffic, but it might take a day or two before Twitter will start showing the non-AMP version of your site. You can also run a few links from your site through Twitter’s card validator after you’ve disabled AMP, to help the process:

    https://cards-dev.twitter.com/validator

Keep in mind that Google gives precedence to sites with the AMP version enabled, so by disabling it your site might not show up as much on mobile searches.

For more information about about AMP, please see here:

    Hope this helps.
