Sharing problems.

I review books and like to share the posts on fb. if I have anyones photo or button in my sidebar, that photo shows instead of the photo in the post itself. What can I do to change that. At the momento I dont show other peoples buttons because of this.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there. The image that appears when sharing to Facebook is determined by Facebook and there’s very little you can do about it this side. However, Facebook should use an image from the post or your blog’s blavatar. My guess is it grabbed an image from a widget when you shared a post without an image and that image is now stuck in the Facebook cache. Try flushing the Facebook cache and see if that helps. All the post I do have their own photo. Usually the book cover that fits that review. So how do I make sure that will be the FEATURED picture? Otherwise they take one of the Widgets. Is there a way I can make sure they never use the Widgets. ?

If you read the support doc I linked above you’d have seen that we have no control over this, nor does WordPress. It’s entirely up to Facebook.
You select a featured image from the Feature Image module in the post editor. See here for more information: http://en.support.wordpress.com/featured-images/

You’re welcome. If you haven’t yet you might want to work through the “Learn WordPress” support doc (http://learn.wordpress.com/) and the “Video Quick Start” tutorial (http://en.support.wordpress.com/video-quick-start/). That’s the easiest way to quickly learn how the main features work.

Thanks again. I thought I had right until I put a widget with a photo on it. Now have taken them off. Until I learn more.
