sharing to facebook

  hi there,

  i’m trying to get my posts shared to facebook. wordpress is posting to my personal facebook profile, however i have been prompted to create a ‘page’, which i’ve done.

  what should i expect now if i share a page or post to facebook? will it appear on my facebook profile or on the specific facebook ‘page’ which i’ve just created?

  my other issue is that when i share to facebook, there are errors with the associated photo coming up. either it doesn’t come up at all or otherwise photos from other posts are selected and i don’t know how to change or address this prior to posting on to facebook. can you help with this?

  Hi Ksenia!

  Starting August 1, 2018, third-party tools can no longer share posts automatically to Facebook Profiles.

  Nothing will change if you keep a Facebook Page connected to your site — all your content should still appear directly on Facebook Page via Publicize. You can read more about this here.

  About image thumbnail issue, You can follow the guidelines mentioned here to improve chances that the image that you would like to be associated with your blog post’s share is the one that Facebook selects.
