Sharing to Google PUBLICLY
-
I’ve tried everything to connect my Google+ page to WordPress. I have no problems with my Facebook and Twitter connections (well, one with Twitter but it’s posting ok). My pages are connected and when I post to my blog, it sends it to my Google+ page but it will only share with me. That is pointless. I don’t even know why the option exists. Why won’t this share publicly? I followed all the directions and can’t find an answer. I have disconnected and reconnected multiple times.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Same problem so it’s not just you.
Connection works fine but the post on my G+ page is private. According to what instructions I could find on Google there is no way to change the sharing to public once the post is up.
The only way I’ve found to make this work is to manually post the link to the blog post. Got this cool suggestion to publicize here:

Hi there,
Changing who can see your publicized posts on Google+
After you have authorized your Google+ connection, you can change this setting by going to Settings → Manage apps & activities from within Google+.
https://en.support.wordpress.com/publicize/#google-profiles-and-pages
Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks!

I’ve found it but screenshots in the support link would be helpful. The way Google+ presents the settings does not make this easy to find.

Appreciate the feedback, Steve! I’ll see if we can add some screenshots for more clarity.
Thanks!
