My linked.in won’t connect.
I’ve tried to refresh connection from publicize on a blog I’m writing, and and refresh and create new from sharing settings.
Nothing works.

Have you checked at LinkedIn to see if there is a known issue there?
Common Reasons Why a Post Failed to Publicize

If there is no issue at that end and the issue still persists at your end type modlook into the sidebar tags for Staff help.

WordPress is asking to refresh the Linkedin connection but it doesn’t work.
Also I tried to disconnect Linkedin and reconnect again, but I get always the same error: <There was a problem creating your connection. Please go back and try again>.
Changing browser and clearing the cache have no effect.
Could you please fix this issue?
Thank youThe blog I need help with is thecustomervalue.wordpress.com.

Hi there,
Sorry for the trouble! Our developers launched a fix for this LinkedIn connection issue — can you please try again and let me know if you still have trouble connecting to LinkedIn?

Hi Rachel,
previously I have disconnected Linkedin from my WP account. Now I have tried again to reconnect and it works!
I have not verified if really the WP published contents are notified on Linkedin, but the error msg disappeared and it seems to work.
In the meantime Linkedin has replied to my ticket opened yesterday, suggesting to check this issue at this link:

Thanx -
According to Linked. In support emai they no longer support third party apps. I can forward the email to Staff if they provide a contact email.
“Thanks for contacting us. I’m sorry that you encountered that error message. We’ve removed 3rd party applications and widgets from our site, which is why you’re unable to add applications. The redesigned LinkedIn profile (https://www.linkedin.com/profile/sample ) lets you add media links to images, presentations, videos, and documents. This feature is replacing LinkedIn Applications. Please note we don’t support blogs at this time.
Instead of a standalone application, if you self-host your WordPress site, you can enable auto posting to LinkedIn through the Jetpack plugin from Automatic. If your site is on WordPress.com, simply enable the Publicize setting for LinkedIn from your WordPress.com Dashboard. Your updates from your WordPress blog will then appear as a network update that’s visible to your connections.
I will make sure to pass on your feedback about these changes to our profile product and design teams. If you like to keep up with the latest product news and enhancements, check out our blog at http://blog.linkedin.com. We aim to ensure LinkedIn members have the best possible experience across each of our products and services, and will continue to look for new ways to help our members discover and manage information and opportunities that relate to their professional interests.”

@gdimarco — Glad to hear you’re connected again! If you have any trouble publicizing your posts to LinkedIn, please start a new forum thread to let us know.
@kavalkade12 — WordPress.com’s Publicize feature is still available for LinkedIn. It sounds from their support email like they have removed support for other third-party applications and widgets, and they may have misunderstood and thought you were asking about one of those. In any case, our team fixed the Publicize connection issues so you can connect to LinkedIn again. If you have trouble connecting now, please let me know.
