Sharing website URL on LInkedin is fetching the image from free wordpress site

    Hello All,

    I have 2 domains…

    https://speakoutloud406983911.wordpress.com/
    https://outloudspeakers.com/ (hosted on other server and not on wordpress)

    When I try sharing the website link on linkedin, its fetching the featured image from the free wordpress site, why so ??

    FB works absolutely fine….but not linkedin..please advise where am I going wrong..

    Your site is not hosted with WordPress.com; it is a site using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) but hosted elsewhere.

    Because WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two entirely separate entities, we cannot access files or data for sites that are hosted elsewhere, so WordPress.com staff can only assist with sites that are hosted on our servers. I can help point you in the right direction, though.

    Of note, the domain outloudspeakers.com is registered under the speakoutloud406983911.wordpress.com but not set as the primary domain, so that shouldn’t have any impact on sharing on social media.

    When you share a post on social media, these sites will crawl your page and look for Open Graph (OG) meta tags in the head to build a complete post preview (with an image, title, description, …).

    Looking at your site, you’re using the Yoast SEO plugin to set your site’s OG tags, so you should reach out to their support to see if they have a solution for you. Otherwise you’ll need to reach out to LinkedIn to see why it’s pulling incorrect OG data for your site.
