Shawburn

    Hello,

I am using shawburn. I did solve the “links go white when the cursor is there” problem in the case of buttons. But not in the case of plane links. Normal words at the end of a text that are links. of course I could change the background collor, bat that doesnt look good at all. Any Ideas?

    thx

The links I wrote about are to be found on the frontpage, at the end of the texts wich are placed under the 3 pictures.

  • Hi there,

I’m afraid Shawburn doesn’t have a setting specifically for the link hover color, but I played around with it a bit, and if you set a different secondary color (the one you currently have set to a mustard yellow), that might make the link hover color a bit darker.

Otherwise the only way to change that in this theme is by adding custom CSS code to override the theme’s design. That would require our Pro plan.

oh ok, thank you! Is there hope that the problem will be solved in general?

  • Hi there,

Shawburn is an older theme that does not work with our newer “Full Site Editing” system, so it is limited to the pre-built customization options that you see now. There are no plans to add more customization settings, so if you wish to change the link hover color you will need to either pick a new secondary color, as @kokkieh mentions above.

The other option is to upgrade your site to any plan that offers our custom CSS option, and then use custom CSS code to define a hover color: https://wordpress.com/pricing/
