Shelf Theme – Make start page a category page

  I’d like the first page of my blog to contain specific posts within a category, not every new post.

  Is there anyway to do this?

  There is no way to set a category page as a home page for a site at wordpress.COM.

  The new “Lifestyle” premium theme ($75) offers the ability to showcase multiple categories on the main page, but since we volunteers don’t have access to the premium themes, we know virtually zero about them or what is possible with them.
