SHIFTING CONTENT AROUND
-
WordPress Blog: https://foreverthando.wordpress.com
My home page has all of my content and I want to shift and order it to the different tabs I’ve created. How do I do it?
-
hi,
I understand that you want to organize your entries by categories and that they appear in their specific category, good to do that look at this link:
https://wordpress.com/support/posts/categories/#assigning-posts-to-categories
then you would have to configure the menu so that these categories are shown in the menu, for that you look at this link:
https://wordpress.com/support/posts/categories/#category-pages-menus
and maybe you also want to modify your home page, to configure what is shown on it, check out this other link:
https://wordpress.com/support/pages/#setting-a-home-page
Did I understand well?

Hi there, thank you. Helpful information, but doesn’t relate to my issue. After following the instructions my content isn’t shifted from my home page to the “Book Reviews” tab I created. Please assist.

Hi there,
You cannot prevent any posts from appearing on the main posts feed that you currently have assigned to your front page.
Category pages as described above will only show posts in a specific category. But the main posts page will always show all posts on the site, regardless of whether or not those posts also appear on a category page.
A category page cannot be assigned to the front page of your site.

hi,
What you can do is, instead of putting a page in the menu, (like Book Reviews) is putting a category called Book Reviews and so you will have all the entries of that category under that tab.
