shifting header among different posts in a single blog
-
I’d like to change headers on my blog for different posts. Possible?
I’d love to do so–and think I was able to do so for many of my earlier posts, but the function no longer seems to be working as easily!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi DanielBrownstein,
I can see different headers on different posts of your blog. If you want to add new ones or change those currently used you can do so from the Dashboard -> Appearance -> Customize. This will open the design tools from where you can select “Header” and choose the image/s you want to displayed.
Does this answer your question?

I have tried this, and have ‘introduced” a new header to a number of posts unintentionally, and have trouble returning those headers to their initial appearance. When I customized the banner for my most recent post, in other words, that new banner was adopted in several earlier posts in ways that I had not intended. I seek to continue to introduce new banners for new posts, a practice I adopted after my hundredth post–rather than to customize the banners uniformly on all posts!

Daniel,
Using custom headers is a great feature with your theme, Pilcrow. I’m not sure how you’ve been doing this in the past, but each post or page can be edited to include a featured image—in this case, your custom header. Other themes do not display the featured image this way. It’s brilliant!
If this is what you’ve been doing in the past, and it is no longer working, I’d recommend visiting the Pilcrow Support Forum.
