Shifting to personal domain

  I am quite happy with wordpress and the amount of traffic on my blog is satisfactory and growing with every passing day. What is the best way that I keep the same traffic and services with my own domain name?

  Your traffic likely won’t be affected by the switch. You will find that your new domain name won’t show up in the search engines the way your old one did until some time has passed.

  Users will still be able to reach your site via your old name, it will simply redirect them to the new name. This means that if they’ve bookmarked you or if they reach you through a search engine that still shows your wp.com domain, they will still find you at your new site.
