Shifting Widgets to the top?

  Hi all,
  Is there any way to shift(wp-plugins, editing any files etc) the widgets from the Sidebar to the top of the page? More specifically, the google search box on my blog, sticks out like a sore thumb cde is placed in the sidebar. Any way to fix this?
