Shipping Rates

We have different shipping classes – physical products, small physical products and window stickers – they all have different shipping rates.

We have set up the shipping costs to vary based on quantity of items in the order but currently if someone buys a physical product (the most expensive postage) and a window sticker (the cheapest postage) they get charged for the 2 item rate at the most expensive level.

I’ve got each shipping class set up to ‘include’ the relevant shipping class. I thought that by then ‘excluding’ the ones I didn’t want to add to that total, it would work but it doesn’t.

How do I ensure that when someone orders a big physical product like a book and then a product from another class that they get charged for one of each rather than 2 at the most expensive rate please?

    Does that make sense?
