Shiprush-WordPress.com Integration
-
Hello,
I am currently working with a client in order to build an ecommerce site for him, moving over from a different site platform. He uses ShipRush as a shipping platform, and we are moving from Shopify (which was used on the old site) to WooCommerce.
ShipRush integration exists for WooCommerce, which I’ve followed the instructions for. A brief rundown of the instructions can be found in this YouTube tutorial which I’ve been following: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VYDGu_MzK2I
I followed the tutorial and all was well, until I got to the part where I needed to put the four PHP files into the root directory. I’ve researched for hours on how to upload the PHP files and put them into the root directory, but none of my methods have worked. I’ve tried using three different file management plugins, which have failed since none gave me permission to upload files into the root directory. I’ve also tried using SFTP to insert the PHP files, which has also failed due to a lack of permissions. My SFTP client on FileZilla looks like this:

Based on information I’ve found online as well as my own testing, it seems like its impossible to upload files to the root directory on wordpress.com sites. But I don’t know if there’s another way around this or not, or another method of integrating ShipRush.
Does anyone know of any way that I can insert the required PHP files, or if theres another method I could potentially try to integrate ShipRush into my wordpress.com site? Or is it impossible to integrate ShipRush with WooCommerce through wordpress.com at all because of this? It would be a severe inconvenience to him to move to another shipping platform, or the one provided with the WordPress.com Ecommerce sites.
For further information incase its needed, I am using WordPress.com to host with version 6.6.1. My client is using the Ecommerce plan.
Thank you.
