Shopify account placed on Hold

For the past four years, I have been succesfully using a well known ecommerce platform for my website, no problems, until recently they started to ask for more personal information, business ID etc. I went just over the allocated time to provide this. and they stopped my payment account. Once they received this information, my account was verified, and made fully operational. Some four weeks later, my pay account was again put on hold, no reason given. I sent numerous emails to them over a three day period, no one could say why this had happened, only it is being looked into. Eventually they told me that there was an omission in my address, which took some ten minutes to fix. They now say that everything is in order, and my pay account is now working. I have asked them if it was necessary to close the pay account for such a simple fix. They have apologised. But the point here is it wise to put all your eggs in one basket. Is it not better two have the two same websites with different companies, selling the same products. How would google view this, what are the downsides
