    How do I complete domain transfer if Shopify will not help me by giving me the domain information?

    Hi there!

    You’ll need to unlock the domain and get its authorization code from Shopify if that’s where your domain is registered. Without unlocking the domain and obtaining the authorization code, it’s not possible to transfer a domain to us (or anywhere else, for that matter).

    Have you tried following these steps? Shopify seems to have the instructions for transferring a domain away from their site, so you may want to follow them to unlock the domain and get the authorization code.

    Once you have the auth code, you can enter them on your dashboard here (click Start Transfer to start the process).

    I noticed you only bought a domain registration. You’ll want a WordPress.com plan as well to set the domain as the primary address on your WordPress.com site. WordPress.com plans also add more features, allowing you to create the site you need. We’d love to learn more about the site you’re building, so we can suggest the best plan for you.
