  Hi there. I’m almost ready to take the next step forward, but would like to clarify a few things before doing so. I’m in the design and retail business, so would like to introduce a shopping cart to my website for online purchases of my products. Right now, I can’t seem to find where there is this option. Hope to hear back soon. Thx

  If you look into the WordPress Plans here https://wordpress.com/pricing/

  The free and Premium plan give you an option just to use https://en.support.wordpress.com/paypal/
  To be able to sell individual items.

  IF you use the Business Plan, you have options to use lots of Shopping carts and other plugins from the WordPress have a look here https://wordpress.com/plugins/browse

  Also, if you look into a specific research of shopping carts here are the options,
  https://wordpress.com/plugins/browse?s=shopping+cart

  Also, there will be a lot of other plugins which you might need one’s you set up your business. The Business Plan would be suitable for it.

  HI there,

  Just to clarify, the only way to add a shopping cart to any WordPress site is via a plugin like WooCommerce. On WordPress.com, plugins can only be used if you have the Business Plan upgrade.

  The alternative is to set up a self-hosted WordPress site with a hosting provider like Pressable or Bluehost. You can find more information on self-hosting here:

  What e-commerce plugins other than WooCommerce work in the business plan?

  You should be able to use any ecommerce plugin for WordPress, yes. That’s why I said “like WooCommerce” – that’s just one example.

  However, keep in mind that as WooCommerce is also an Automattic product, that means we’ll be able to provide you with support for that plugin should you use it with our Business Plan. We are not able to provide support for other ecommerce plugins, aside from general support with the WordPress.com interface and software.
