Shopping cart, security & back up for crashed site
-
Hello,
Please explain to me in the simplicity form.
1. I have PayPal as my collector on my website, so how do I add a feature so customers can use coupon codes on the website?
2. I need some better security for my website, so what options do I have?
3. If my website crashes, is there anything to back it up?

Hi, I don’t see any WordPress.com sites under your account here.
Would you please share the URL of the site you’re referring to?
Once we know that, we should be able to help or at least direct you to the folks who can.

Hi there, that is a WordPress.org site hosted with Hostgator.
To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities: https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/
WordPress.org has complete documentation for self-hosted/installed versions of WordPress.org at https://wordpress.org/support/ and support at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
With that said, we do have options for you. :)
For selling products, we recommend WooCommerce and it supports PayPal and coupons natively: https://woocommerce.com
For better security, we recommend the Jetpack plugin: https://jetpack.com/features/security/
And we recommend the same for backups: https://jetpack.com/upgrade/backup/
Note that while Jetpack displays pricing for their Security and Backup plans separately, their Security plans also include backups.
Please let us know if you have any more questions!
