  Hello, I’m aware of the paypal option and the com-vs-org document, but is it possible to set up a shopping cart on a wordpress.com blog, but without the pay option?

  There is no upgrade that you can purchase form WordPress.com that provides the ability to install a shopping cart of a free hosted WordPress.com blog. Our blogs cannot be equipped for e-commerce transactions. WordPress.org installs can be. http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
