Shoreditch Theme: Change Button Colors/Attributes

  • Unknown's avatar

    I just installed and am trying to customize the Shoreditch theme. I’m looking to change the font color(s) of a button I just set up on my homepage. Bot the main and hover colors. How can I do that?

  • Hi there – the first thing you’ll need to do is remove the inline style you added to the button, likely in the editor. Switch to HTML view and change this:

    <span style="color:#16509e;"><a class="button" href="https://hitmarketingonline.com/contact/">Contact us Today!</a></span>

    to this:

    <a class="button" href="https://hitmarketingonline.com/contact/">Contact us Today!</a>

    Next, add this to your Customizer‘s CSS panel:

    /* Change button text colour */
    .page-template-panel-page .hentry.has-post-thumbnail .button,
    .page-template-panel-page .hentry.has-post-thumbnail .button:hover {
      color: #bb00bb;
    }
